This is a Red Green 5mm LED, 3 legs, common ANODE (positive), misted/diffuse shell. Sold in a pack of 10.
No specifications, but I would shoot for about 20 mA maximum (most LEDs are happy around that), or less as is your desire for brightness.
Remember to use a current limiting resistor, no resistor = instantly destroyed LED in most cases.

The best and really only way to see if a specific LED (or indeed batch of LEDs) is bright enough for YOUR purpose, is to buy a few and try it out. Luckily, LEDs are just a few cents!
