HDMI Cable to DVI-D Plug Adapter (eg Connect DVI Monitor to HDMI Video Card)

This adaptor accepts a standard size male HDMI plug (14mm wide, also known as Type-A) and converts to a male DVI-D (DVI Digital)

I needed this type of connector to attach my DVI-D monitor to an HDMI cable coming from a newer computer's HDMI video output.

Please do note, that this is DVI DIGITAL VIDEO signal only, not analog, not audio.

It has the full 24 pin DVI connector for high bandwidth but being from china without specifications, all I can say is that these work fine with my 1680x1050 60Hz DVI monitor running off the HDMI output from my computer. 

I expect you could also use this in reverse to connect a DVI video card output to an HDMI monitor, but I have not tested so.

I have had one report that this adapter did not work between a PS4 Pro and a large 144 Hz monitor, I can not personally confirm if this was the case, maybe this thread would be of use to PS4 users (but it did not help this customer). 

I would say generally if you are doing high-end-gaming or some such that needs a very high refresh rate like that you should take care to do some google investigation before you buy to see if you can find somebody who confirms that cheap passive HDMI to DVI adapters work for your intended devices or if you need an expensive active conversion or something.
