A single cell LiFePO4 battery charger, Micro USB or 5v input (5.3v max)
This is basically the equivalent of the old classic TP4056 Lithium Ion charger, except this is the CN3058E for LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) cells.
LiFePO4 cells are considerably safer than Lithium Ion, being much less predisposed to bursting into flame if abused.
This charger board has a jumper configurable max current, by default it is set to 250mA, by simply closing one or two solder jumpers (put a blob of solder over two pads) you can select 500mA or 1000mA max charge current, the details are printed helpfully on the back of the board.
The default 250mA limit is good for putting into 3d prints, kids toys, that kind of thing where you want to be super conservative, it barely gets over skin temperature. 500mA is noticably warm, but not burn yourself hot. At 1000mA setting the board will throttle down due to temperature without additional cooling after a short while and stabilise at about 800mA or so.
There is no “protection circuit” or “BMS” it’s just a charger, I would recommend that you implement some low-voltage cut-off for your load so you don’t dicharge your battery too deeply at least.
Do not connect the battery backwards or all the magic smoke will escape.
