This is a protection board for a single cell Lithium Iron Phosphate battery cell using the combination of HY2112 protection IC and 8205 dual mosfet IC.
It suits lower current applications where you will require 1-2A maximum continuous, peak up to about 3A.
This board will disconnect the battery from discharging when the discharge current exceeds roughly 3 Amps within 12 milliseconds. Similarly it will disconnect the battery from charging when the charge voltage exceeds roughly 3.75v. And it will disconnect the battery from discharging when the battery voltage drops below about 2.1v. Short circuits will be disconnected in about 300 microseconds.
This is NOT a charging board, repeat, this is NOT a charging board, you need to use an appropriate CC+CV charger to batteries packs, this handles protection, a properly designed system should not trigger the protection circuit. I sell a single cell LiFePO4 charger board which would go well with this protection board.
I'm not going to tell you how to use this, if you are buying this, you already know what you are doing. While LiFePO4 cells are pretty safe even if they are horribly abused, you should never rely on just one thing to protect you, others, or your things, always have a backup plan.
B+/- are the battery connections, P+/- are for the load/charger.
