128x160 Pixel SPI Colour LCD - ST7735, Arduino Libraries Available

This is a colour TFT LCD Display, 128x160 pixels. Also has an SD card slot on the back (separately accessed, not accessible directly by the LCD AFAIK).

The total size is about 58mm x 35mm, the display is about 37mm x 30mm. Wires pictured are not included, just for demo purposes. Taking pictures of displays is really hard, in real life it looks crisp clear bright and colourful, hazyness in the pictures is my rubbish photography.

SPI interface, display supply and signalling is 5v, the LED pin should be given 3.3v, or supplied through an additional 50 Ohm or so resistor.

SD card's are 3.3v devices and I would recommend to use a level-shifter for the SD_.... pins if your Arduino is 5v.

The driver is the ST7735

There are already lots of "official" libraries available to run the ST7735 display, so at this stage I'm not going to write my own, reinventing the wheel and all that. In your Arduino Library Manager just search for ST7735. I think the ucglib one is perhaps the simplest, but the Adafruit library is perhaps most popular.

For Ucglib, the config line you want to uncomment is...

Ucglib_ST7735_18x128x160_HWSPI

for hardware SPI, or

Ucglib_ST7735_18x128x160_SWSPI

for software SPI.
