This is a mini voltmeter (volt meter), you choose
Measures from 3 to 40v, under 10v you get 2 decimal places ( 9.99V) above 10v you get 1 decimal place (10.1v).
This is a 2 wire device, red to positive, black to negative, do not reverse the polarity.
These displays may need a quick one-off calibration to read more accurately, on the back there is a potentiometer (looks like a cross head screw), use a small narrow flat blade (not philips) screw driver to give it a tweak left or right to match your multimeter reading. I find that doing this at a higher voltage (above 20v) works best to give more accurate readings across the range but you can do it at any voltage you like. Once adjusted I have seen accuracy within about +/- 100mV ( 0.1 Volts) generally speaking, before calibration more like +/- 300mV ( 0.3 Volts )
CAUTION: Do not exceed 40v input voltage.
The display measures approx 2.3cm across (excluding ears, just the display itself), and 1cm high.
This display would be good for battery powered devices, lipo (lithium polymer), li-ion (lithium ion) etc, amongst many other uses, “9S” is 37.8v fully charged so that’s maximum.
Taking pictures of bright led displays is tricky, it looks better in real life!
STOP! If you are using the readout of voltmeters to make decisions about powering up expensive sensitive things, VERIFY YOUR SETUP AND THE VALUES REPORTED WITH A MULTIMETER, haste makes waste.
