Got a potentiometer or rotary encoder without a nut and need a nut? This is PROBABLY the nut you want if your potentiometer/encoder’s thread measures around 6-7mm diameter and it’s a metric part.
I can not guarantee that it is the nut for your specific potentiometer, but this tends to be the most common size and thread (M7*0.75 Nominal) to fit single-turn panel mount poteniometers, and also rotary encoders.
For reference, this nut fits the single turn potentiometers I sell, and the splined and d-shaft rotary encoders also. It does not fit the 10-turn potentiometers which use a larger nut.
For completeness, while this is probably the most common, if it doesn’t fit and your particular device was manufactured by americans maybe you have an imperial thread, in which case you might want to search out a “1/4 32 UNEF” nut (sorry I don’t stock them) they are very similar size.
