This is a pack of 10 threaded brass inserts with M3 threads, might be handy for 3d printing to insert a metal thread into a hole. I have these in different lengths now, you choose which length (all the same in each pack)
They all have the same maimum OD (knurled section) of 4.6mm, and lead-in OD (un-knurled section) of about 3.9mm
Commonly you would print a hole with a finished size about 4 to 4.5mm, then using the tip of your soldering iron to heat it you can simply push the insert in.
This variety of inserts has knurls which run in both directions to better resist torque and pullout and a narrower unknurled lead-in to assist with self-aligning the insert into the hole.
The video (below/in images on Trade Me) is not produced by me but shows similar thread inserts and is a good comparison between the styles. Note that these thread inserts are not any brand and do not come with any documentation as shown in the video. What you see in the pictures is what you get.
