This is a buck mode LED driver ouputs 800 to 900mA (depends somewhat on input voltage) and can be used to drive a 10W led from an input voltage of 12v to 42v (AC or DC), great for powering a 10W led from a car battery at the campsite (but be careful you don't drain your starter battery flat !!)
Absolute maximum voltage is supposedly 62v DC (42v AC) and I have tested to 60v personally, I would recommend keeping it to 42v maximum however as the capacitor is only 63v rated.
You can also supply 12V to 42V AC (eg from an MR16 lighting type supply).
THIS IS NOT A MAINS POWER DEVICE, low voltage only.
This is buck mode - input voltage must be higher than the total forward voltage of the led for a 10W led 3x3 type LED such as I sell, an input of 12v+ works.
The output is around 800-900mA constant current, it is slightly input voltage dependant, but for most of the range at least one I tested settled to about 815mA.
Input polarity doesn't matter.
Bottom of the PCB has silkscreen marking of the input and led output solder pads to attach your wires. They get fairly warm, I saw about a 40 degree rise in temperature, but I wouldn’t put them in a tightly enclosed, err, enclosure, will want some airflow.
