Personally I would run this type of LED at 1W so they run cooler and have an increased life at the expense of a bit less output. These leds are often referred to as a "3 Watt LED" by many sellers, I don't know why since physics say they are at best 2.5W and as far as I know there have not been any recent earth shattering rewrites of those fundamental laws of energy, anyway that's why this listing is called "1W to 3W", since that's what people are searching for, I'm a total slave to marketing!

YOU must understand how to use an LED, otherwise you'll kill them, right, if you don't know how to drive an LED, do yourself a favour and learn with cheaper ones OK!
You WILL need to heatsink these to something (not necessarily an actual heatsink), they generate a lot of heat if you are running them flat out, see my other listings for 1 and 3 led aluminium mounting plates, and heatsink tape.
And don't forget to limit the current or you'll have 3 dead leds on your hands.
REMEMBER! UV is largely invisible, but it's very capable of damaging your eyesight etc. DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE LED WHEN LIT
