5mm Ultraviolet LED

Wavelength: 390-400nm
Forward Voltage drop: ~3.2v
Forward Current: ~20mA
Brightness: 200mcd*
Leg Length: typical led leg length but varies batch to batch, if leg length is critically important to you, ask and I can measure

* Ultraviolet LED Luminous Intensity is technically “0” for a perfect UV LED, because Luminous Intensity is a measure of visible light, of which, there isn’t too much if you’re talking Ultraviolet! Indeed, in my experience, especially with China sourced LEDs, take any stated brightness/luminous intensive mcd (millicandela) rating with a very large grain of salt, the best way to determine if it’s bright enough for you, is to try it**

** Don’t look into UV Led with remaining eye! Seriously now, it’s not a laser but strong UV exposure into to your eyes is a pretty bad idea if you want to keep your eyes in good working order. Remember, UV is invisible light, the LED might not look bright, but it is damaging to your eyes. Avoid prolonged exposure, and don’t look directly “down the beam”. You wouldn't look into the SUN would you!

*** Remember to limit the current! Remember Ohm's law when calculating your current limiting resistor!

Don't just wing it, UV leds tend to be quite prone to death-by-current as they heat up very rapidly with too much current while still not appearing "way too bright", naturally, it's invisible.

Take care of your LEDs, MEASURE the current going through them, MEASURE the voltage and MEASURE the actual resistance of your limiting resistors to make sure they are within spec.
