These are a simple 2 pole wire joiner, you press down on one side of a lever and insert one stripped wire, then press down on the other side and insert your other stripped wire.
These ones (as I hope comes out in the photos) have copper terminal pieces rather than the more common steel variety, copper has a much higher conductivity and should be better suited to carrying the up to 10A rated current that these supposedly have ( from China so grain of salt with all specifications as you know I’m sure ).
Think of it like the old chocolate block connector without the screws.
They will accept a large range of wire dimension.
I would recommend if you are drawing more than 5A to test carefully for suitability (in theory, they are rated for 10A, but this is Chinese marketplace vendor Amps we are talking about, they are not usually worth as much as everybody else's Amps).
I use these only for 50v and under stuff naturally, I can not advise you on mains connection purposes.
Great for quickly patching together connections on your test bench.
