Caution, this is a 5-wire socket, I’m not sure of the application for a 5 wire socket, it’s being cleared out at cost. See my 6-wire version which will be more adaptable in general.
This is a five wire panel mount USB Type-C connector
The five wires are as follows:
The round screw/nut ones you will want a hole about 11 to 12mm wide and maximum panel thickness about 10mm. The PH plug can be fed through the nut, just takes some ingenuity – bend the wires lengthwise along the plug and wiggle it through.
The rectangular push-in ones you will want a hole about 5mm high and 12mm wide, and your panel should be no more than 1-2mm thick I would say.
Simple answer is, I don’t know. I purchased these accidentally. I don’t know why only one of the CC pins is wired.
