This is a six wire (5v power only) panel mount USB Type-C connector, you choose from:
The six wires are as follows:
The round screw/nut ones you will want a hole about 11 to 12mm wide and maximum panel thickness about 10mm. The PH plug can be fed through the nut, just takes some ingenuity – bend the wires lengthwise along the plug and wiggle it through.
The rectangular push-in ones you will want a hole about 5mm high and 12mm wide, and your panel should be no more than 1-2mm thick I would say.
The CC1/CC2 wires (Green, Yellow) are important for Type-C to Type-C connections, Type-C to older USB types probably won’t care.
Generally speaking:
If you are the one “getting” power/data, what is called the “upstream facing device” then you should connect green and yellow wires each to their own 5.1K resistor which is connected at the other end to Ground (”Pulled Down”).
If you are the one “giving” power/data, what is called the “downstream facing device” then you should connect the green and yellow wires each to their own 56k, 22k or 10k resistor which is connected to VBus (”Pulled Up”) – 56k says your device can give up to 0.5/0.9 A, 22k means up to 1.5A, and 10k means up to 3A.
