What can I say, this is a USB Mini-B Male Plug, they have a 2 part plastic shell and a strain relief. There are solder pads (best way I can think to describe) for the 5 connections split on two "levels", kinda weird but I guess that's what works.
Sold for $1.50 each, the picture inset shows you how to assemble them (not rocket science, but anyway).
Great if you want to hard wire your latest creation to a USB cable, no need to sacrifice one, just make your own, to your own specifications.
